Pierre was married to Anne Lecoq 6 November 1633[1] at the Saint-Maclou parish of Rouen, Normandy.
His birth has previously been placed in 1597 based on the discovery of a baptismal record for a Pierre Boivin baptized in July of that year at the Saint-Maclou parish of Rouen. Those parents have been disproven however in favor of Guillaume Boivin and Guillemette Levert which allows his year of birth to be placed later, perhaps in the first decade of the 17th century (1600-1610). The date previously shown for his marriage to Anne Lecoq looks to be a misinterpretation; i.e. 11-6 (June 11) mistaken for 6-11 (November 6), the latter of which is verified.
