Pierre and his family suffered many hardships after being exiled from Nova Scocia: prison in England, long periods in ships because no one would let them on shore because they had nothing and were often ill. Eventually, the French government gave them a very small piece of land in the LaGrande woods with many others in the same situation. They were not happy because they had no room. Some of Pierre's decendants went to New Brunswick; some went to Louisisana via the Carolina's (the Girouards), and Honore and his son, Prosper, and their families went to Louisiana on the ship, LaBergis, (or something like that).
