Pieter Weyers (1955 - 2020)
Brief overview:
Pieter (65), a caretaker at a lodge on a smallholding outside Witbank on the R555 (Old Middelburg Road), was found murdered on 22nd October 2020. His hands were tied behind his back, and he had sustained severe injuries to his head and upper body.
Colonel Donald Mdhluli said Pieter was declared dead at the scene. The police opened a case of murder and a manhunt was subsequently launched. Mdhluli said he could not specify whether the man was stabbed or shot prior to an autopsy report.
