On the 19th March1719, he requested the grant in freehold of a piece of farmland, called 'Palmiten Valleij', occupied for several years by his father, the ex-heemraad Francois du Toit, as a loan farm. His father had given him the house and farm buildings.

Eienaar van Palmietvallei, Daljosafat sedert 19.03.1720. Hy het ook Roodewal, 'n leningsplaas aan die Breede River vallei bestit vanaf 23.12.1716. Hy was ook 'n diaken en heemraad.



"Eienaar van Palmietvallei, Daljosafat vanaf 19 Maart 1720 tot 1740 toe hy die plaas aan sy seun Pieter oorgedra het. Palmietvallei was oorspronklik 'n leningsplaas, grootte 71 morg en 208 vk roede, wat aan die Hugenoot Francois du Toit behoort het. Francois het in 1720 besluit om afstand van die plaas te doen en het die opstal aan sy seun, Pierre du Toit geskenk. Pierre du Toit het die Politieke Raad versoek om die plaas as eiendomsgrond aan hom te gee. Sy versoek is toegestaan en die plaas is op 19 Maart 1720 op sy naam geregistreer.

Op 12 Maart 1734 het hy die veeplaas, Sonkwasdrif-Oos, Agter-Groenberg (Wagenmakersvallei) by Daniël Bockelenberg gekoop. Hy het die plaas op 13 November aan Catharina van der Sande verkoop.

Pierre het die plaas Calais, geleë in Daljosafat op 1 Mei 1736 by sy broer Andries gekoop. Ná Elisabeth Rossouw se dood het Calais die eiendom van hul skoonseun, David de Villers geword.

Pierre du Toit en Pierre Jaubert was gedurende 1729 in 'n hofverskil oor grond betrokke. Die name van die plase is onbekend.

Hy het ook Roodewal, 'n leningsplaas in die Breederiviervallei geboer vanaf 23 Desember 1716. Hy was ook 'n diaken en heemraadslid. Hy het gedurende 1739/1740 finansiële probleme ondervind en uitstel by die Politieke Raad gevra vir die betaling van huurgeld.

Twee gedroste slawe, Rio de la Goa, slaaf van Francois Retief en Aaron van Ternaten, slaaf van Hendrik Hoppe, het in 1744 'n bees uit Pieter du Toit se trop met 'n snaphaan geskiet en die bees geslag."

Their children given as listed in his wife's will of 1768. Their joint will of 1744 was made and signed on the farm of Andries du Toit situated in the Wagenmakersvallei and in it he stated that his mother was Susanna Soignet.

On the 19th March1719, he requested the grant in freehold of a piece of farmland, called 'Palmiten Valleij', occupied for several years by his father, the ex-heemraad Francois du Toit, as a loan farm. His father had given him the house and farm buildings which had been built on it and he therefore requested the grant of the land, His requested was granted subject to ratification by the Council of Seventeen in Amsterdam.

In 1739 he petitioned the Council of Policy saying that times were hard and he would pay his rent after the lawsuit.

In 1767 he petioned stating that he was the second lieutenant of the Stellenbosch Infantry, but he was growing old and beginning to suffer from bodily infirmity. He therefore asks for his discharge.

He owned "Palmietvallei" ('Palmiet [2]), Daljosafat from 19 March 1720 and also farmed (boer [2]%29 on "Roodewal" a loan farm in the Breederiviervallei which he also acquired on 23 Dec, 1716. He became the owner of the farm "Calais" [2] in Daljosafat on 1 May 1736. [8] He was elected to the Church Council and the "Heemraad" (council of elders) of Drakenstein. [8] He married Elisabeth Rossouw (born 14.10.1696, d. 1785). She was the co-owner of Calais, Daljosafat, daughter of Pierre Rousseau and Anne Retief.
