He made his will in Dutch in 1691. He was lost at sea on a trip to Barbados. Brother Gerrit Hansen and his son Pieter Gerrits are his sole heirs (Cornell Univ. Abstr. of wills liber 1 p. 339) "Letter of administration on estate of Peter Hanse granted to Gerrit Hansen eldest son by the late wife of John Johnson, June 17, 1692 "(same p. 340) Is is possbile that this make Gerrit Hansen son of a 3rd wife of Hans Hansen van Nostrand.

Pieter Hanson is brother to Hans "Hanson" heirs to father Hans Hanson in 1696, made a will 5 Apr. 1729 naming children Hans,Magdalena, Rachel and Jan Hanson.
