Pieter Blomeris "Blom" Notling van der Lith (1945 - 2010)
Brief overview:
Pieter 'Blom' (65), his wife Henna (66), and one of their workers (name unknown), were killed on a farm in the Vivo district about 70 km from Louis Trichardt in Limpopo.
Police found their decomposing bodies. The body of Pieter was tied to water pipes near a dam on the farm Zwartland. The body of his wife, Henna, was found in the farmhouse. Her hands were tied. The body of the worker, whose name is not yet known, was found in his home on the farm.
Lieutenant Colonel. Provincial police spokesman Ronel Otto said they may have been killed this weekend by a man who wanted to buy lucerne on the farm.
The couples' Toyota Land Cruiser was found about 20m from his body.
Marie Helm of TAU SA's Northern Region said on Monday they were shocked by the brutal murders of the three people at Vivo. Members of TAU SA's Northern Region were still on the farm by early evening to help police search for clues. Otto could not say at the time of printing whether anything was missing from the farmhouse.

- It came less than two weeks after the gruesome murders on Mr. Johan Greyvenstein (54) and his wife Annelise (53) of Musina (Messina) happened. Their bodies were found in their bakkie on November 4 on a holding outside the village. No one has been arrested for these murders.
