Notes from Joe Hughes:

1860 census Peter (34 yrs) and Josephine (32 yrs) "Taylor" living in Winona, MN. This info is from Larry Reski at http://polandpinecreek.blogspot.com/ . The 1860 census lists their children as Joseph (8) and Anna (1). The 1870 census puts Peter (46) and Josephine (44) "Piloski" living in Trempealeau township, WI with their children Joseph (17) and Anna (11). Awesome find by Larry!

This would mean that the Peter "Palaski" listed in the 1860 Census as living with his wife Julianna in the same Dubuque, IA residence as Frank and Hannah "Palaski" was in fact NOT Frank's brother Piotr Hiacynt Pelowski - who was (to repeat) definitely living in Winona by 1860.

Unfortunately, the birthdate for Piotr Hyacint makes it very unlikely that he is "Peter Taylor."
