About Pleasant Little

26.PLEASANT5 LITTLE (ISAAC4, WILLIAM3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1)437,438 was born Bet. 1760 - 1765 in Pitt Co. NC439, and died February 1832 in Anson Co. NC440.He married RACHEL KNOX441,442,443,444 WFT Est. 1752-1807445.She was born Abt. 1792446, and died Aft. 1832 in Union Co. NC447. Notes for PLEASANT LITTLE: Based on the order of the names of his children, I would think Pleasant was the son of William Little or possibly John - but William was apparently the oldest. However, The Thigpen Tribe lists him as the first son of Isaac.Their evidence is not cited.

Pleasant's birth year is based on census data.In 1830, he was listed on pg 65 as 60 to 70 (b 1760-1770).In 1810, he was listed on pg 18 as 45 or over (b before 1765). Thus, he was born 1760-1765; other census records support this age bracket.Pleasant may have been born in Surry Co. VA before Isaac moved to Pitt Co., but I am guessing they all moved together in 1755.
Pleasant's children and wife are listed in his will. His brother Elisha is one of the executors and Jacob witnesses the will.
The first reference to Pleasant in Anson Co. is a deed in Feb. 1808 from William H. Gulledge. The deed was witnessed by Danl Fones and Ira Proctor.
