Abraham Kellar is listed in a document from the Jost Hite vs Lord Fairfax, dated 17 May 1770, the land owners had to validate their land claims do this case. It is written by Abraham, it states that the land was sold to Paul Froman by Jost Hite, and that Abraham bought part of the land and that he was married to Mary "Maria" Froman, a daughter of Paul Froman.
It also states that William Overall got part of the land, and that William Overall was married to Magdalen Froman, daughter of Paul.
Also mentioned is Henry Speers, who was married to Regina Froman, and there is strong evidence that Regina was also a daughter of Paul.
1766, December 15, "Virginia House of Burgesses passed resolution as follows: 'Resolved that Lieutenant Abraham Killer (sic), named in the said Report, being ordered out on emergent Occasions and not having Time to raise the full Complement of Men to entitle him to Pay as Lieutenant, according to the Direction of the Invasion Act, but served at different Times 21 days, with 16 private Men under his command ought to be allowed the Pay of a Lieutenant for the said Services.' One of eleven xchildren of Jacob and Anna Marie Kellar who came to America before 1730 and settled at "Upper Salford, Pa."
Abraham is listed as a lieutenant, Frederick County, Va., militia as of 8 Feb., 1758
April 13, 1768 - Abraham Kellar and Peter Rufner, of Frederick Counmty, contracted with the Vestry of Frederick to build a church building at Ephraim Leith's Spring near the South River of Shenandoah, for forty nine pounds current money.
April 17, 1772 - Abraham Kellar listedf zas a justice of Dunmore County, also listede as one of the "Gentlemen Justices" present at Dunmore Co. Court session at Woodstock in Sept. 1774. Also appears on a list of Governor Patrick Henry, dated June 29, 1778, authorizing various persons to qualify as justices.
Oct, 27, 1781 - Abraham Kellar furnished on beef, weigh 250 lbs. for use of the Continental Army.
