About Pvt. (CSA), Elsey Jones Ford
Elsey J. Ford (Forde) served in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War as a Private in Company B, 5th Regiment, Florida Infantry. He enlisted on August 1, 1862 at Lake City, Florida as a substitute for James English. He broke his thigh at the Second Battle of Bull Run and died of his wounds sometime in September/August 1862.
