About Pvt. John Alexander Golden, (CSA)
Veteran - Pvt John A Golden, Georgia, Georgia Light Artillery (Capt. Croft's Battery), CSA
According to Luther Golden, John A. was actually in the U.S. Navy for the final year of the Civil War. He joined in Pensacola, FL., and served there. There is a possibility that he was with the Confederacy for a short time early in the war. If so, he may have deserted. The information was sent to Luther some years ago.
