His birth has been reported as 1780 Cumberland County on DAR applications, but based on mortality schedule, would be c.1778.

Pennsylvania Marriages on familysearch gives a transcription of Planket Crab marriage to Catharine Jungster on Nov 7, 1816, with source of First Evangelical Lutheran Church records, Carlisle, PA. (document not viewable for confirmation of transcription).

The 1850 census for Monroe Township shows a Catharine Crab as head of household with Amelia 15, Elizabeth 19, Josephine 13, Margaret 11, and Henry A 9.

Plunkett Augustus Crabbe served as a Private under Captain Walker, Colonel Kennedy in the 1st Regiment, 1st Brigade PA Militia from August 29, 1814 until March 5, 1815.
