Rabbi David (Tebl) Brüll

Rabbi David Brüll was also known as “Tebl Brüll“ and as “David Rausnitz”. He moved to Prossnitz in the early 1740s, and is seen in a 1745 list of Prossnitz residents as “Dawid Rausnitz”. He was deceased by 1769 when his name does not appear on a Prossnitz list of household heads. A great-grandson, born c1774, was named in his honor.
