The following question was posed:
Rabbi Dr Jacob Winter was born in Sandorf, Hungary. That is now Prievaly, Slovakia. Did he die in Dresden? I cannot find his death record.
Answer: Although he was born in what is now Slovakia, and his wife was born in NY, it appears from the source quoted above that both Rabbi Dr Jacob Winter and his wife died in Dresden. You may also wish to note that it was in Dresden in 1912 that the Rabbi became a Dr., after having been conferred the title of 'Professor' by the King of Saxony.
p.s. - Incidentally, their daughter Elly also died in Dresden in 1937.
