Born in Jerusalem, to Shlomo Zalman Porush . His godfather was Rabbi Shmuel Salant and the mohel was Rabbi Meir Auerbach . Studied at Talmud Torah Etz Chaim . In his youth he suffered from partial blindness which prevented him from perusing the book.

He married Miriam Yocheved Shifra, daughter of Moshe Rivlin (brother of Yosef Rivlin ). Her sister Rachel is the wife of Rabbi Chaim Mann , the head of the Talmud Torah Etz Chaim. After his father's death, in Trn"h ( 1898 ), took on the burden of maintaining the home and cared for his widowed mother and siblings, some of the peak. Also cared for his wife's family, their father died young.

During World War I he adopted the identity of an American Jew named Glickman in order to get rid of service in the Turkish army. At the end of World War II he was deported to Damascus as a foreign national and stayed there with his son Liber Mordechai for about a year and a half. Since then he has adopted the name Glickman which was added to his name "Porush".

He served as the secretary of the rabbi of Jerusalem, Rabbi Shmuel Salant, and was in charge of the public institutions he headed, including the Etz Chaim yeshiva and the Bikur Cholim hospital .

He was the prominent operator and businessman of the old settlement in Jerusalem. He initiated and founded a number of neighborhoods in Jerusalem: the Knesset of Israel and the Jacobson houses in the neighborhood, the Broida houses , the Wittenberg houses (Shaarei Moshe), the Minsk houses and the Davis courtyard . For many years ran a charitable Gates charity founded by his father. In Trs"h ( 1908 ) established the "Shaarei Chesed company to build houses in Jerusalem," and a year later founded the Samuel Zaooil Spitzer the Shaarei Chesed neighborhood. In Trtz"h ( 1935 ) established the foundation of the building of the neighborhood of Makor Baruch . He himself lived in houses Braude.

He died in Jerusalem in 1952 and was buried on Mount of Beatitudes . He left a long will in which he recounted the hardships of his life and expressed his faith in the Blessed One .

נולד בשנת תרל"א בירושלים, למד בת"ת עץ חיים, נשא לאשה את מרת מרים יוכבד שפרה בת ר' משה ריבלין, נפטר בירושלים כ"ג שבט תשי"ב. צאצאיו הם, ר' משה פרוש. מרת רבקה אשת רבי מאיר דרוק, אביהם של הסופר ר' משה עקיבא דרוק עורך המודיע, ור' שלמה זלמן דרוק חבר עיריית ירושלים. ר' ליבר מרדכי פרוש מזכיר הגמח הכללי שערי חסד, חותנו של הגאון רבי חיים קמיל. מרת רחל אשת רבי אברהם דב זוננפלד, נכדו של הגאון רבי יוסף חיים זוננפלד. מרת חיה שרה אשת רבי עמרם בלויא. מרת שיינא אשת ר' שלמה צדוק זייבלד.
