Rabbi Shimon Schwartzman

From Yoni Schwartzman: I have done much research into finding out how Rabbi Shimon and his family perished in the Holocaust, since they lived far from the rest of the Schwartzman family in Seidlce. I have concluded that he and his family were murdered along with the rest of the Jews of the city of Rozprza in the Treblinka Death Camp early on in the Holocaust.

the following is an excerpt, translated from hebrew into english, from the book "רבנים שנספו בשואה""Rabbis Which Perished In The Holocaust", מעת פנימה מיזגיש, by Penina Mizlish, located in the archives of Yad Vashem in Israel:

[Rabbi] Shimon Schwartzman, son of [Rabbi] Yisrael Moshe, was born in 1913. He studied under Rav Shlomo Grodzensky, and at the "Mesivta" in Warsaw. [Rabbi Shimon Schwartzman] was ordained by Rabbi Shlomo David Kahane [in] 1937. [He also] began the Torah magazine "Torch". [He was] received [as the communal] rabbi of Rozprza. Perished in Holocaust.

שוורצמן, שמעון, בן ישראל משה, נולד בתרע"ז,'1913.

למד אצל רב שלמה גרודזנסקי, ובישיבת "מתיבתא" בוורשה. הוסמך לרבנות רב שלמה דוד כהנא בתרצ"ז, 1937. התחיל לערןך את הירחון התורני "הלפיד". התקבל כרב ברוספרשה, Rozprza. נספה בשוא.
