Rachel Adamse appears in the 1762 baptism register of Slaves of the VOC, Servants and Free Burghers where she is recorded as having been baptised after confession ("na voorgande beleidenisse") (which I believe means she was over the age of 7) and as having been born free ("vrygeborene")
