Daniel Denison (son of George Denison, great great grandson of William Denison), born June 27, 1703, was married to Rachel Starr, Nov. 14, 1736, and lived in New London, Conn. He died previous to 1760, and his widow, about 1760, married Col. Ebenezar Avery, of South Groton, who had twelve children by his first wife, Lucy Latham. Rachel (Starr) Denison, had ten children by her first husband. Daniel Denison, Jr., married Col. Ebenezer's daughter Katherine, previous to his mother's second marriage, and Phebe married his son Ebenezer Avery, Jr. Mrs. Rachel died in 1791, aged 86 years.

The children of Daniel and Rachel (Starr) Denison were as follows :

Mary, born Aug. 19, 1728 ; twice married.

Daniel, born Dec, 16, 1730 ; married Katherine Avery.

Thomas, born Nov. 4, 1733 ; married Katherine Starr.

Rachel, born Sept. 20, 1734 ; married Joseph Copp.

Samuel, born Nov. 9, 1736 ; died in 1767; no family.

Hannah, born Jan. 2, 1739 ; married Henry Jepson.

Ann, born Sept. 18, 1743 ; died 1767.

Phebe, born Sept. 18, 1743 ; married Ebenezer Avery, Jr.

James, born April 18, 1746 ; married Esther Brown.

Elizabeth, born Nov. 19, 1748 ; married John Barker (sic Barber).
