notes

Phillip (SIC: HENRY??) HOFF md Rachel JACKSON (c 1745/50 - alive 1823 Montgomery Co, VA) believed to be dau of Robert JACKSON. (Other sources show Thomas JACKSON as father, but the evidence for this is not known.) They could have md in Loudoun Co, VA; but there is no record there in the surviving records of one of the two parishes of the county. Certainly they md before they started moving along the mountain chain. It is assumed Rachel was Phillip's only wife.
