Aaron & Rachel's only daughter (and youngest child), Jane, was married to Squire Boone on 11 July, 1765. Along with Daniel Boone & his family, Squire & Jane relocated to Kentucky in 1779. About 1810, they moved to southern Indiana, where Squire Boone died in 1815. He is buried in a cave on a high hill in Harrison County, IN. He reached the present day Albany area. In 1624, the first colonist arrived in the New Netherlands to settle in Fort Orange. In the 1650's, the Dutch needed more land to provide food; they expanded into present day Long Island. Soon, small villages sprang up. Examples of these are Gravesend and New Ultrecht. Captain Aaron Van Cleave married Rachel Schenck on September 24, 1734. Aaron and his wife bought property in Kentucky from Daniel Boone in 1764. They bought the farm in the Forks of the Yadkin. A witness to the signing of the deed is Aaron's brother, Benjamin. Their daughter, Jane, married Squire Boone, brother of Daniel Boone. Rachel Schenck, the daughter of Jan Roelsfse Schenck, (b. about 1670 at Flatlands, Kings County, Long Island, New York, and died 30 Jan., 1753, at Pleasant Valley, Monmouth County, New Jersey) and Sara von Couwenhoven (b. about 20 Dec., 1674, a t Flatlands, Kings County, Long Island, New York, and died 30 Jan., 1761, at Pleasant Valley, Monmouth County, New Jersey) was born on 19 Feb., 1708, in Princeton, New Jersey. She died about 1780 in Rowan County, North Carolina. She married Captain Aaron. They had six children, Benjamin, Jane, John, William, Aaron, and Ralph. Source: Rootsweb.com
