Radford was a planter and probably a lawyer, judging from the number of estates in which he was executor. Guardianship papers pertaining to his son William recorded that a law book was among the many items turned over to him when he became of age. In 1767 Radford was listed as a Justice in the country and, according to the records of Antrim Parish, was a Vestryman that year and the next.
