About Rafael Martínez
Rafael Martínez was a Filipino politician. He was a delegate to the Constitutional Convention representing the first district of Leyte in 1934. He was then appointed Governor of Leyte in July 1936, and was elected to the same office on December 14, 1937. He later served as Senator of the Philippines from December 30, 1941 to May 25, 1946, but only took office on July 4, 1945.
