Brief overview:
Rajoo (69), was shot dead by robbers when he went to collect cement from his brother's trading store on the Sotsha sugar estate at Doringkop, Stanger, Kwa Dukuza, on 25th August 2002.
Spokesperson Michael Read said, Rajoo Naicker had gone to his brother's store about 07:00 on Sunday when he was confronted by three gunmen. The attackers forced Naicker to fetch his brother, Chinsamy (65), from the house next to the store and they took R600 in cash from Chinsamy before shooting him once in the stomach and shooting Rajoo in the chest, killing him. Chinsamy was in a critical condition at a local hospital and Rajoo's body was taken to the Kwa Dukuza mortuary.
The gunmen drove off in an unidentified car and no arrests were made, Read said.
