About Ramón Avanceña
Ramon was appointed by US President John Calvin Coolidge as the 4th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines, serving from 1925 to 1941. He resigned from the Supreme Court at the beginning of the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War II.
