About Rebecca Kendall
No record has been found of the birth of Rebecca, who married Thomas Kendall, nor of her parents. She was born about 1618, based on her reported age at her death from her gravestone.[1] Torrey gives her surname as Paine, but with a question mark. Multiple unsourced Internet sites say she was Rebecca Payne, daughter of Anthony and Alice (Potter) Payne, but none cite any evidence, and there is evidence that disproves this. Her surname remains unknown
