Rebecca Noyes

From Chandler Family History:

REBECCA and Ephraim Noyes, Grinnell, Poweshiek Co., Iowa. By arrangement they resided on the homestead half a mile west of the meeting house and took care of their insane mother while she lived in Hardwick, Vt. They then removed to Rockton, Ill., where he had a farm and thence to Grinnel,l in 1864. Their children were:

I. Charles Corkins Noyes, b. at Hardwick 6 July, 1825; farmer at Greenboro', Vt.; m. 31 Oct., 1853 Diana Lowell of Canada East. Two children:

1. Eliza Noyes

2. Edward Noyes
II. Edwin Newton Noyes, farmer Grinnell, Iowa. He enlisted in the U.S. service, joined the invalid corps; m. 21 Oct., 1849, Abigail M. Shurtleff of Lynnlield, Mass. Seven children:

1. Charles Newton Noyes, b at Hardwick 9 Aug., 1850

2. Rebecca Sarah Noyes, b 10 Aug, 1852
3. Frank Noyes, b. 1855; d. aged 4 mos
4. Eunice Noyes, b. at Hardwick; d. aged 3 weeks
5. Mary Eva Noyes, b. March, 1857
6. Edward Noyes
7. Martha Noyes, 1851

Moses entered the army in 1812 and was never heard from again.
