About Rebecca Smith White

Rebeckah Smith, daughter of David Smith and Rebecca Stephens, was born 29 April 1785 at Chittenden County, Vermont; and died 15 November 1867 at Pleasant Grove, Utah County, Utah Territory. She is buried at Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, Utah County, Utah, Plot: A-11-001-08.

Rebeckah Smith married Henry Harvey White (1782-1845), son of James White and Sarah MNU, on 9 October 1808 at Chester, /Windsor, Vermont; they had thirteen children. Early converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they traveled west with the church. Henry died in Nauvoo in 1845, but Rebeckah eventually emigrated to Utah with their youngest son, Evander, in 1852.
