Biography
Rebecca Browne was born about 1631 in Plymouth Colony, the daughter of Peter and Mary (_____) Browne.[1][2][3]
She married William Snow[4] by about 1654.[2][1][5] William was b. about 1617; died at Bridgewater, Massachusetts 31 Jan 1708 (mentioned in his inventory) and was apparently the 18 year old passenger on the Susan and Ellen in 1635.[1]
25 March 1667/8 William Snow of Bridgewater sold to Ephraim Tinkham his one third part of land in Dartmouth granted to Peter Browne as a "Purchaser or oldcomer." Both William and Rebeckah signed this deed.[6] [7][1]
7 November 1679, William Snow deeded to John Brown "my one third part of lands which were the Lotts formerly of Peter Brown, Deceased." Rebeckah his wife consented.[6][4][1]
Rebecca was named in her husband's will which was written on 9 March 1698/9, so she died sometime after that date.[1] William Snow, of Bridgewater, having already given much of his land to sons Joseph and Benjamin, stated "being very weak & Lame and my wife being aged both of us not able of ourselves to suply our wants without the help of somebody else my son William Snow having promised to provide for us During our naturall Lives" then gave land to his son William. He also stipulated that some other land be divided between Joseph and Benjamin, and his movables were to be divided among his daughters, Mary, Lidia, Hannah & Rebecka after the death of himself and his wife. He wrote his will on March 9, 1699. The will was proved 4 Mar 1708. His inventory specifically states his death was 31 Jan 1708.[8] Rebecca did not swear to the inventory so was probably deceased by this time.
Children of William and Rebecca (Browne) Snow,[9][1] born probably in Bridgewater:[1]
Mary Snow named in her father's will 9 Mar 1698/9. Note there is no proof she married John Rickard as suggested in "Families of the Pilgrims" Mayflower Quarterly 49:122
Lydia Snow named in her father's will 9 Mar 1698/9
William Snow b. c. 1662 (before 1664, if over 21 in the 1685 Titicut division)
Joseph Snow before 1664 ( if over 21 in the 1685 Titicut division)
Hannah Snow b. c. 1664 (based on age at death)
Benjamin Snow b. c. 1669

Rebecca is mentioned in her husband's will which was written on 9 March 1699 so she died sometime after that will was written. In 1699 they lived in Bridgewater, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. Some unsourced genealogies cite a date of date near her husband's death in 1708, but that is yet to proven.
William Snow wrote his will on March 9, 1699. In that will, which was proven on January 31, 1708, indicating he died in that month and year, he mentions her, stating: "...my wife being aged...". She was not mentioned in the administration of his estate so she died between March 9, 1699 and January 31, 1708.[5]
