He married Jane Hart, daughter of Lt.-Col. Simon Hart, on 18 January 1794. At Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.
Educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. Graduating with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.). Appointed Rector at St. Werburgh's, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. And was the Chancellor at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
They had thirteen children ;only two sons Francis Hart Viceimus & Rev Arthur produced issue sons ,four daughters, unmarried.

At an advanced age Rev Hosea LLD was appointed Chaplin to the late Royal Dublin Regiment on the 3rd Dec 1794 and was retired on full pay of the reduction of the Corps in 1795 (Gentlemens Magazine Page 550)
