From Todd’s General History of the Burr Family:

"Isaac was admitted to full communion at the First Church of Hartford, March 7, 1724/5. On Oct. 25, 1725, he was ordained the second pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Worcester, Mass. In November, 1744, he received a call from Windsor, Ct, to which place he removed and continued as head of the church there until his death in 1752. Estate £2,000. John E., Jonathan, and Prudence became insane, and Henry Allen, Esq., of Windsor and Pliny Hillyer, Esq. were appointed their conservators."

Isaac married Mary Eliot, daughter of Hon. John Eliot (28 Apr 1667-25 Mar 1719) & Mary Wolcott. Born ca 1700 in Windsor, CT. Mary was baptized in Windsor, CT, on 12 May 1700.

Burr, Rev. Isaac ( Hon Peter3, Thomas2, Benj 1) b. 1694 (1698 in Lincoln); graduate of Yale 1717; m. Mary Eliot, daughter of John, a merchant of Windsor, Ct. He was called to the pastorate here Feb. 10, 1825, accepted, received, a settlement of 200 with an annual salary of 80; was ordained Oct. 13, 1725. His ministry was long and peaceful until near the end, when there was trouble about his salary due to depreciation in money. His health failed and at his own request a council was hefd in Nov., 1744 and in accordance with the judgment of that body he was dismissed in March, 1745. After his dismissal he removed to Windsor, Ct. The coming of Whitefield to Wor. was, in a measure, also cause of the friction between pastor and people. In Nov., 1744 he was called to Windsor, Ct., where he preached until he died in 1752. He was learned, eloquent, and faithful. Children; John Eliot, b. in Wor. Jan. 29, 1727- 8; Isaac Samuel; Jonathan; Mary ;Prudence; Lois m. Talmadge Bishop; Thomas, b. in Wor., Nov. 17, 1743.

Mr. Burr bought of John and Susanna Harris of Middletown, Ct., Jan. 20, 1725- 6, two- sevenths of the land of Daniel Henchman, undivided,
