James Colvin was a Baptist minister, ordained about 1738, who preached at the North Scituate church until his death. His home was in North Scituate, south of Jackson village, but most of his land was in Coventry. He died in Coventry at the home of his son, Benjamin. Marriage record c1716 to Phebe or Susannah Barton, d/o Andrew Barton, has been disproven.
