She wrote: That Edward Jones and Susannah Jones Bressie were not included in their father's will, because they were Quakers.[7][8]

Rowland Jones Jr, in his will of 1688, wrote: 'loveing kinsman Edward Jones' referring to his brother Edward Jones, who was also appointed executor of Rowland's will. Later, in Edward Jones' will of 1690, he makes mention of Rowland's wife, Ann and Rowland's son, Orlando.[9]

Notes

26 DEC 1653 - WILLIAM DEBNAM, 1500 acs. in Mockjack Bay., 26 Dec. 1653, p. 55. Beg. at marked tree of George Ludlow, Esq., a mile distant from a branch in Severne &c. through Cedar Island to the Bay, Sly. along the bay side including all the marshes to Oaken Island, to N. side of Shawes Cr. &c. to marked tree of sd Squire Ludlow &c. Trans. of 30 pers: Robert Woodstock, John Butcher, ... John Gurrington, Rowland Jones, Samuel Stephens, Bennedick Gracewood. [Note: Assuming three years to seat the claimed land, it is deduced that Rowland Jones emigrated from England to Virginia in about 1650. The estimated birth year of Rowland Jones, Jr., subsequent Rector of Bruton Parish, Williamsburg, VA, is 1644 which would have him being 6 years of age in 1650, much too young to be travelling unaccompanied. It is therefore inferred that Rowland Jones, William Debnam?s headright, is Rowland Jones, Sr., Vicar of Wendover, Buckingham. Most of Rowland Jones, Sr.?s brothers appear to have emigrated to Virginia prior to 1650 and it is speculated that he was making a scouting trip to Virginia.]««s228»
