Admitted at EMMANUEL College, Cambridge on 6 May 1802; of Barnburgh, Yorkshire; son of Anthony Fountayne Eyre. Matriculated Michaelmas 1802; Scholar, 1802; B.A. 1806. Vicar of Totternhoe, Bedfordshire July 1814 - 1819; Vicar of Hornsea with Riston, Yorkshire, 16 Jan 1831 - 1848. Died 17 Sept 1848, aged 64, at Bath. Half-brother of Charles Wolff Eyre (1790). (G. Married Sarah Mapleton, daughter of David Mapleton M.D., of Bath and had 7 children:

Charles Henry (1809-1810); Gervase Fountaine (1813-1815); Edward John Eyre (5 Aug 1815 - 3 Nov 1901); Mary Ann (1817-1888); Frances Jane (1820 - 1876, married Joshua Mashill, surgeon, of Pudsey, Yorks); Caroline Elizabeth (1821 - 1863); Loisa Honor (1822- ).
