Alexander George Burnett, 6th of Kemnay was born on 6 November 1816.1 He was the son of John Burnett, 5th of Kemnay and Mary Stuart.2 He married, firstly, Letitia Amelia Kendall, daughter of William Kendall, on 4 September 1849.1 He married, secondly, Anna Maria Pledge, daughter of Reverend Ebenezer Pledge, on 1 August 1877.1 He married Emily Julia Birch, daughter of Joseph Birch, on 18 July 1893.1 He died in January 1908 at age 91.1

He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1
