Richard Leon Barrios, Jr.

Richard Leon Barrios Jr., known by relatives as "R L" , the first born of Richard Barrios Sr. and Gladys Horrigan, was a fierce competitor and athlete. After high school and college he joined the military. After his service, R.L. moved to Baton Rouge married the beautiful Janice Lorio. Together they had four girls. R.L.built an investigative business working closely with local law enforcement he became Sergeant at Arms for the Louisiana State Legistature. He provided assistance to many upstart careers in the Baton Rouge area. R.L. continued to play "pick up" sports until his cancer diagnosis. Richard Jr.'s wake and funeral amounted to a standing room only crowd that reflected how well he was liked in life.
