Richard R. "Dick" Bell, 74, of Farwell, died Sunday, October 19, 1997 in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center in Midland.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Clare with the Rev. Douglas Blackwell and Rev. Donald Smithgall officiating. Burial will be in Garfield Twp. Cemetery in Lake.
Friends may call at the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home today from 2-5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Clare. Arrangements by the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home.
Mr. Bell was born August 30, 1923 in Barryton, the son of Clyde and Alta (Johnson) Bell. He married the former Mildred Amy November 24, 1943 in Flint.
Dick lived most of his life in the Farwell and Clare area. He was owner-operator of a laundrymat along with many other projects. He attended the First Baptist Church of Clare.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; a daughter, Nancy (Shirl) Graham of Rosebush; his mother, Alta Mair of Clare; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Marion (Ed) Strouse of Clare; and a brother Clyde Bell of Clare. He was preceded in death by his son, Neil; his father, Clyde; and two brothers, Keith and Mickey Bell.
