ST. DAVID – Richard “Pete” Deschaine, 58, died Jan. 8, 2005, at a local nursing home. He was born Oct. 4, l946, in St. David son of Alcime and Marianne (Dube) Deschaine. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hartford, Conn. He is survived by six sisters, Ida Levesques of Madawaska, Louise Robichaud of Washington State, Joan and her husband, Alphy Nadeau, of Suffield, Conn., Connie Rancourt of Meriden, Conn., Viola and her husband, Paul Emile Therrien, of Grand Isle, and Blanche and her husband, Armand Jalbert, of St David; four brothers, Phillip and his wife, Prescille, of Grand Isle, Reno and Gedeon both of St. David, and Renald of New Britian, Conn. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, in the St. David Church and interment will be in the parish cemetery in the Spring. Visiting hours at the Daigle Funeral Home in Madawaska will be Tuesday evening 7-9 p.m., and on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until time of funeral. Donations may be made to the Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund.
