It does not seem possible for Richard Ingram, of Johnston County to have been born in Johnston County, NC in 1715, who married Annie Moon, to have been the son of John Ingram, b Abt 1696 (son of Charles Ingram & Elizabeth Dameron) and Hannah Pines of Brunswick County, Virginia; they did not own land there. Their son Richard Ingram, born 1738 - 1742, was bequeathed land in Lunenburg County: “Item I, give and Bequeath to my Son Richard INGRAM, three Hundred Acres of Land in Luninburgh County being the other part of the said Six Hundred Acres I, bought of SMITH To him and his Heirs forever ~.
