About Right Right Riggins
I'm offering the following information to add to Right Riggins BIO. All from my files, quoting "family" gathered information, research, scrap books, bibles etc. Thx Gary

Right Riggins appears correct as shown on headstone (see Find A Grave), but shown else were as Wright Riggins, see Lucinda's death notice, and Right James (or J.) Riggins, but no supporting evidence. Direct line descendent family members say no J. or James in name and not Wright.
Following the War of 1812, government troops were sent to this part of the midwest to create and maintain friendly relations with the Indians. Among the soldiers in the Army who patrolled the area where La Harpe is now located, were two men by the names of Abraham Brewer and Right Riggins. They were both of the opinion that this was a good site for settlement.
In the late 1820's Abrabam Brewer and Right Riggins returned to settle here. Mr Riggins purchased some land in the west country, built a house and started farming. He received a land grant of 625 acres west of the city of La Harpe, for which he paid $1.25 an acre.

The LA HARPER - Jan 26, 1877 Obituary Right Riggins At his residence two miles west of La Harpe Tuesday afternoon, the 23rd, Right Riggins, aged 74 years and about 6 months. Mr Riggins was a native of North Carolina but came to Morgan County, IL previous to the Black Hawk War in which he enlisted and served as a volunteer passing through this section while in the service and liking it, he removed his family here in 1833 and has lived on the same place up to the time of his death. A little over two years ago, he was stricken with paralysis from the effect of which he never recovered.

Right Riggins is buried next to his first wife Mary Bradshaw. Right Riggins second wife, Lucinda, was buried next to her first husband, William Isaac Mills. Family records show Lucinda and Isaac are buried just west of Right and Mary.

Right Riggins first wife was Mary Bradshaw and they had 6 children:

Right Riggins second wife was Lucinda Smiddy Mills (her first husband was Isaac Mills),Right and Lucinda Smiddy Mills had 3 children:

Lucinda Smiddy Mills and her 1st husband Isaac Mills had 2 children:
William Mills Andy Mills
