About Robert J. Bloser
Private, U.S. Army; 'E' (Easy) Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regt, 101st Airborne Division. Son of Lynn J. and Helen V. Bloser. Entered the service from Pennsylvania. Pvt. Bloser was a member of the unit depicted in Stephen Ambrose's book Band of Brothers. In the subsequent HBO miniseries, his character was not portrayed as he was one of the thousands killed in the D-Day invasion and its immediate aftermath. Awarded the Purple Heart.
