Robert Lewis Buckbee

Robert L. Buckbee, 83, a winter resident of Port Charlotte, died July He was bom Dec. in New York City and had come to Arcadia since 1971. He moved to Port Charlotte in 1991. Hc retired as credit manager for JP Stevens Textile Manufacturer. He received degrees in philosophy from Princeton and Columbia universities and served in the Army Air Force Weather Service in Burma during World War IL Survivors include lus wife, Arabelle Wheatley, and a niece, Lillian Van Order of Deerfield, Mass. There will be no services. National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte is in charge.
