About Arabelle Wheatley
Arabelle was a commercial artist who spent much of her career years in New York City. Among her works were many nature drawings, she was an illustrator including numerous drawings for the "Ranger Rick" children's magazine. Arabelle and her husband, Bob Buckbee were naturalists at heart. They retired first to an isolated farm off Rush Road in Richhill Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania. They were instrumental in the organization of what has become the Annual Wildflower Walk that takes place during the first weekend in May along the Enlow Valley in northern Richhill Township. Bob and Arabelle's later retirement years were spent in Port Charlotte, Florida.
