Biography
Robert Constable II was known as Gentleman of North Pickenham in county Norfolk
Fifth great-grandfather of General Robert E Lee. From his son, Francis Constable's Wikipedia profile, we learn that Robert Constable II entered Pembroke College at Cambridge University at the age of 18 in March 1574. Later, he attended Gonville and Caius College at Saxthorpe in Norfolkshire for a year, before earning his BA from St John'sCollege, Cambridge (1577). By Feb 1582, he was admitted to Lincoln's Inn. He resided at North Pickenham in Norfolk, and with his history was known as Gentleman. (Please refer to Francis Constable's father)

The National Archives that show that in 1575 Robert I Constable sold a messuage called Frostes in North Pickenham to George Constable (relationship unknown) cited in Wikipedia entry for Francis. Brother::Thomas Constable (ca. 1562) - servant to Robert Constable of Oxburgh or Oxborough in Norfolkshire. Thomas was admitted to the College at Cambridge in 1577 at 15 years of age and atteneded University at Norwichand Saxthorpe. Sons of Robert II: :Robert Constable III (ca. 1590-1601) :Francis Constable Will - It is unknown to a certainty whether the Robert Constablementioned in this will is a match.
