About Robert Emory Daniels
Bob Daniels began his teaching career in Jeromesville as a science teacher in 1946. He was superintendent of the former Perrysville Local Schools in the 1950's and Jeromesville local Schools in the early 60's before becoming a principal at Wooster Heights Elementary in Mansfield, C.E. Budd School in Loudonille, and retiring in 1977 as principal of Crestline Schools. In the 1960's he was involved with the founding of the Mohican School of the Out-of-Doors, and later served as treasurer after retiring from the public schools. Also in retirement he served several years as director of the Ashland County council on Aging. He was a member of the Loudonville United Methodist Church, and the Church of the Master United Methodist , Akron. He was a former member of the Kiwanis Clubs of Ashland and Crestline, and the Lions Club of Perrysville. he served in the US Army Air Corps as a meterologist during World War II, and later was a member of the Air Force Reserves, retiring as a major. Mr. Daniels always maintained his farm south of Loudonville as his home, and had lived in Cuyahoga Falls and Tallmadge before moving to the Brethern Care Village. He married his wife Ruth (Pore) July 29 1943
