Notes for Robert Dorris:
While living in Orange Co. NC he worked on building the road from Quaker Creek to Stoney Creek. He moved to Davidson Co., TN in 1801 where he lived for the next 17 years. He moved to Sumner Co. in 1818 and bought up to 300 acres selling 120 acres to his brother John. Robert was living in Hopkins Co. KY by 1832. He was described as a man with great physical strength. He was still alive in 1860 he was about 94
