About Robert Lewis Gilmer
ROBERT LEWIS GILMER was the son of William Lewis Gilmer and Mrs. Lillian (Jefferson) Gilmer.
He was the stepson of Mrs. Mary Wortley (Moseley) Gilmer.
He was born November 3, 1879. He graduated from Louisiana State University as a civil engineer in 1902. He was married at the age of 40, and he lived at 1718 Maple Street, Louisiana, with his wife who was 20 years his junior.
Obituary
"Funeral services for Robert L. Gilmer, 93, of 3147 Chestnut Street, who died Thursday at his home following a brief illness, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mangham Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Mouser, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Marshall Street."
