About Robert Kitchen
He is mentioned in the will of Joseph Grafton the father of his mother in 1681 and Robert is left 5 pounds, along with his three sisters. Robert was a merchant and a ship owner. While some genealogies have this Robert as going to Harvard and dying in 1716, that is not the case. The graveyard inscription for that Robert Kitchen mentions his Harvard schooling and gives his age as 17, which rules this Robert out because of his age. In fact the Robert at Harvard is the son of this Robert and his second wife Bethia according to the inscription.
Robert Kitchen (1665-1712) of Salem MA who married ab 1686 Bethia Weld (1667/8- ) dau of Dr. Daniel & Bethia (Mitchelson) Weld.
