Robert- born July 8, 1777, died - . When young he moved with his parents to Kentucky. In the fall of 1816 he moved to Jefferson County, Alabama, where in the early days of the county, he was one of the justices of the Quorum, Later he moved to Pickens County, near the Alabam-Columbus roads. he was a substantial slave owner. He married Nancy Love in 1805. She was born April 23, 1776 to Colonel Andrew Love and Ann Latimore. Coloonel Love (1747-1821) was a Revolutionary War hero. Robert and Nancy are buried at Zion Churchyard on the Columbus road. They had four children:
Franklin Lacey (1811-1855) m. Nancy Nash, five children, died in Texas
Eliza Lacey (c1812-?) m. Thomas J. Lewis - no issue
James Lacey (1807-1878) m. Sophia Davis (1811-1853) - 8 children
