About Robert David Lloyd
Robert was born on 14 January 1669 in Llanfor, Merionethshire, Wales.[1][2] He was the son of David Lloyd of Cowney[3] and Gwen Lowery.[1] ..
He arrived in Philadelphia, Province of Pennsylvania aboard "The Lyon" with Hugh Roberts on 14 October 1683 at the age of 14.[4]
In 1697, he purchased 400 acres of land near Rowland Ellis' farm at Bryn Mawr.[3]
He married Lowery Jones in Merion Township on 11 October 1698[1][2] when he was 29 years old. They had 8 children.
He died in Merion Township on 29 May 1714 and was buried at the Merion Friends Burial Ground.[5][1][2]
