Robert married Elizabeth (aka Mary) WINTERBURN

Robert was convicted of theft (with wife Elizabeth/Mary) and sentenced to 7 years transportation. He arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Alexander". Elizabeth/Mary was not sentenced to transportation and did not accompany Robert to Australia

There are conflicting stories about Robert

• - left the colony in 1788
• - died on Norfolk Island 1788 - aged 34
• - died Port Jackson 23 May 1788 - age 30
